Community of Care Grant

At Atlas York Insurance, community is at the heart of everything we do. As part of our commitment to supporting the places where we live and work, we’re proud to introduce the Community of Care Grant—a $9,000 initiative dedicated to giving back to the communities that have supported us over the years.

This grant is equally distributed across three of our key business locations—Dodsland, Coleville, and Rosetown. These communities, which are integral to our operations, will each receive $3,000 in funding. The grant is made possible through a 50/50 match by Atlas York Insurance and Sandbox Mutual Insurance, reflecting our shared dedication to community support.

What makes this grant even more special is the involvement of the previous owners of the businesses we have acquired—Judy Johnston Insurance Services, Karrington Enterprises, and Coleville Agencies. Their deep connections to these communities ensure that the funds are directed to where they’re needed most, continuing a legacy of local support.

This initiative perfectly aligns with our core value of community, and we’re excited to contribute to the well-being and growth of Dodsland, Coleville, and Rosetown. We invite you to watch the video to learn more about the impact of the Community of Care Grant and how these funds will benefit the communities we proudly serve.

Our Communites

Community is one of our core values and the fundamental reason we have been able to attract the talent that we have today. It takes a special type of individual—and a leap of faith—to join a new team like ours. We are deeply rooted in our communities. The previous owners built an incredible foundation and dedicated their lives to their communities and this industry—it shows in their longstanding support. We plan to continue this legacy and continue to make a positive impact on our communities.

Our employees live and work in the communities where our locations are based. They are local employees who believe in our vision. They are farmers, cattle ranchers, parents, and more, all committed to seeing our communities thrive, which is exactly what we aim to do.

The insurance market is dominated by mergers and acquisitions. As more small brokerage firms consolidate with larger international or national-owned brokerages, we saw an opportunity to partner with rural brokerages that align with our business model of remaining a local, independent business—that is exactly who we are. We are an authentic, Saskatchewan, women-owned business, and prairie proud!
